Course Overview

Participants will articulate a basic understanding of its conceptual boundaries, key attributes, and historical context. Come and explore one of education’s biggest controversies, addressing misconceptions and debunking myths related to SOR.

Meet the facilitator
Samantha Wolff
Samantha Wolff is a dedicated education professional and lifelong learner with over a decade of experience fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments. She has worked in international schools in Thailand and Nigeria, serving in a variety of roles including student support interventionist, instructional coach, homeroom teacher, and head of department.
Samantha holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education, with certifications in both elementary education (K–6) and special education (PK–12). She is a certified reading specialist, instructional coach, and Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist through The Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI). Additionally, she is Orton-Gillingham (OG) certified through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE).
Throughout her career, Samantha has been passionate about mentoring educators and implementing research-based instructional strategies that make learning meaningful, personalized, and engaging. Her areas of expertise include literacy and math intervention, curriculum design, data-informed instruction, and professional learning facilitation. She believes that learning should be joyful, purposeful, and accessible for all students, achieved through evidence-based, multisensory instruction that is explicit, systematic, and scaffolded—empowering every learner to reach their full potential.
