Course Overview

This course builds on foundational behavior concepts (from Level 1 - Understanding Behavior) with a focus on the broader contexts in which behaviors occur. Participants will deepen their understanding of how environmental conditions influence behavior over time.

Furthermore, the course introduces the idea of functional replacement behaviors and the purpose of FBA and BIP processes as tools for understanding behavior and planning support. Emphasis is placed on supporting educators in making thoughtful, ethical, and context-sensitive decisions about behavior support.
