Meet the Facilitator

Roslyn Dotterweich

Roslyn Dotterweich is a passionate advocate for inclusive education in international schools. She brings over 22 years of experience to her role as the High School Student Transition Education Program (STEP) instructor at the International Community School in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 

Her career includes roles as an elementary teacher, PYP Coordinator, Secondary Learning Support Coordinator, and Life-Centered Education Instructor across Kazakhstan, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Peru and Saudi Arabia - where she led the creation of the Secondary Learning Support Program and High School General Diploma Program.

Roslyn holds a B.A. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University and an M.S.Ed. in Special Education (specialization in Autism) from Saint Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania. She completed the Fast Train International Educators Program at George Mason University and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Special Education through the University of Northern Colorado. Her Doctoral research centers on promoting postsecondary transition programs and vocational opportunities for students with significant support needs in international locales. 

An active presenter at international conferences and symposiums, Roslyn has co-taught university courses and is a graduate assistant. She has served as a professional consultant and authored the SENIA Academy Level 2 course in Postsecondary Transition Fundamentals.

As a mother of two sons with Autism and one with Dyslexia, she is deeply involved in parent advocacy, serving on the Advisory Board for Parents Alliance for Inclusion and writing about her experiences at www.autismdreamx3.com. This personal connection underscores Roslyn’s commitment to special education and her ability to empathize with the challenges faced by families of students with neurodivergent needs.
