Intro to UDL: One-Size-Fits-All Fits No One
This session was recorded in December 2022 with a small live audience for SENIA VIRTUAL 2022: 20 Years of SENIA, The Inclusion Revolution. Dr. Novak's keynote speech is now being shared with the broader SENIA community, with the aim of empowering more educators to create inclusive learning environments.
During this 75-minute session, Dr. Novak will introduce the principles of UDL, explain why it is important for all learners, and provide practical strategies for incorporating UDL into your teaching practice.

Meet the instructor
Dr. Katie Novak
Katie Novak, Ed.D., is an internationally renowned education consultant, author, graduate instructor at the University of Pennsylvania, and a former Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Massachusetts.
With 19 years of experience in teaching and administration, an earned doctorate in curriculum and teaching, and ten published books, Katie designs and presents workshops both nationally and internationally focusing on the implementation of inclusive practices, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), multi-tiered systems of support, and universally designed leadership.
Novak’s work has impacted educators worldwide as her contributions and collaborations have built upon the foundation for an educational framework that is critical for student success.
