Stacy Shipman

Stacy Shipman is a Visiting Professor at Wichita State University, where she prepares future teachers with a focus on inclusive education and evidence-informed practice. Before her current role, she served as Director of Student Support at international schools in Africa, where she led the development of high-quality student support services and mentored educators in effective, data-driven teaching and intervention strategies. In the U.S., she was a program director for a Special Education research grant at the University of Louisville, focusing on improving instructional practices and systems of support.

She holds a Doctorate in Education and is also a trained marriage and family therapist. With over two decades of experience in education, she has worked extensively in cross-cultural contexts and was selected to train with the National Education Association in Global Competence.

Having lived and worked in Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and the United States, she brings a global perspective to her teaching and professional development work. Outside of academia, she is an avid reader who enjoys exploring ideas at the intersection of education, culture, and human development.
